Two Swampscott Homes Tie for Top September Sale at $875,000
Swampscott recorded 15 property transfers between Aug. 28 and Sept. 26. Of the seven sales with a recorded price so far, prices ranged from $305,000 to $875,000, with a median of $660,000. Two properties, 5 Macarthur Circle and 21 Muriel Road, tied for the period's top sale at $875,000 each. More than half of all recorded transfers moved property from an owner into a trust or estate bearing the same name rather than through an open-market sale, and eight of the 15 transactions still await a recorded price, which is normal for recently filed deeds.
