Ocean Avenue sale leads Swampscott's late-summer property transfers
Swampscott recorded 12 property transfers between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, but only five deeds disclosed a sale price. Among those, prices ranged from $475,000 to $2,925,000, with a median of $700,000. The period's top transaction was 20 Ocean Ave, which sold for $2,925,000 to Zachary McMahon from seller Abdelhafid Zarouite. Half of all 12 recorded transfers involved a grantor and grantee sharing a name or surname, a pattern consistent with trust or family transfers, and none of those six disclosed a price. With more than half the deeds silent on consideration amount, the available data offers only a partial view of market conditions this period.
