Swampscott's Finance Committee pressed for more documentation on several fiscal 2027 capital requests. Capital Improvement Committee representative Ryan Hale said the CIC ranked a roughly $1 million track repair a "nice to have" and had seen no written vendor quotes. Director of Finance Patrick Luddy said general fund borrowing for the year would be $6.8 million, and paving is planned at $650,000, or $780,000 if pending Chapter 90 legislation passes.
Members said a $600,000 former Recharge building request should wait for a plan, and flagged a $290,000 police fence and gate project for more detail from the chief. No formal votes were taken beyond adjournment.
