Swampscott Youth Lacrosse opens registration for the 2027 spring season and sets a date for girls select evaluations.

SWAMPSCOTT -- With no Swampscott High School games on the ArbiterLive schedule and no new items from local Patch sports coverage this period, the week's sports news came from Swampscott Youth Lacrosse.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- Swampscott Youth Lacrosse announced that registration is now open for its 2027 spring season, open to players in PreK through 8th grade. The organization is offering an early-bird discount of 10 percent for families who register by December 21, with Classic League registration closing January 31. According to the program's key dates, late fees for the Classic League begin February 1, registrations move to a wait list starting February 8, and uniform orders are due that same day. Classic League games are set to begin the week of April 4, with PreK-K intramural play starting in April on a date to be determined.

The league also opened its evaluation process for 2027 Girls Select teams. Players interested in being considered are asked to complete an Interest and Evaluation Registration Form, with evaluations scheduled for Sunday, October 11, from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at Blocksidge Field.

Separately, Swampscott Youth Lacrosse said it has launched a new official Facebook page, which the organization says will be the home for registration information, schedules, events and photos going forward. The league also pointed families to the OTTO Sport App, which coaches plan to use to communicate about practices and games once the spring season begins.
