Zoning Board approves December minutes; Veterans Crossing decision delayed to February 10

Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of February 3, 2026

Swampscott Zoning Board delays comprehensive permit decision on 41-unit seniors housing. The board voted unanimously on February 3 to continue Petition 25-15, filed by BBH Community Development LLC c/o B'nai B'rith Housing New England Inc., to its February 10 meeting. Chair Heather L.

Roman reported the draft comprehensive permit decision remains under development and will be finalized for action at the next meeting. The key unresolved issue is a proposed condition requiring replacement of the Pine Street 6-inch water main with an 8-inch line prior to Certificate of Occupancy; Community and Economic Development Director Marzie Galazka is exploring expansion of an existing MassWorks grant to fund both culvert relocation and the water main upgrade.
