Water & Sewer Committee sets FY 2026 priorities, discusses beach testing.

SWAMPSCOTT — Water & Sewer Infrastructure Advisory Committee approves five fiscal year 2026 goals. Chair Kelley C. Begin led the meeting with seven members present, adopting priorities in outreach, infrastructure compliance, strategic planning advisory, rates and bylaw review, and research and analysis.

The committee heard extensive discussion of planned FY 2026 testing at town beaches and Stacey Brook conducted by the Board of Health. A draft sewer lateral inspection bylaw remains under review by Town Counsel for a future Town Meeting article. Begin reported outreach to four individuals regarding committee alternate appointments, with the next meeting set for May 26, 2026.
