Community Life Center Feasibility Study Task Force · Meeting of August 24, 2026
SWAMPSCOTT — Clarke School emerged as the leading option for Community Life Center site selection. Abacus presented one-story and multi-story concepts for the Middle School, Hawthorne by the Sea, the Field House, and Clarke School at Monday's task force meeting. Members expressed concern about the Field House due to environmental and regulatory constraints and agreed that center planning should be independent from any future Middle School renovation.
The group scheduled a follow-up meeting for October 6 to review three-dimensional renderings and committed to holding a public meeting in mid-to-late October to present the concepts and gather community feedback.
