Swampscott Community Preservation Committee receives governance training from statewide coalition. The committee, meeting with eight members present on January 7, 2026, participated in a three-hour session led by Stuart Saginor, Executive Director of the Community Preservation Coalition, on committee operations and procedures. During the training, the committee identified action items including clarifying that alternate members cannot cast votes, establishing grant application procedures, and preparing a written CPC plan for Town Meeting.

The committee must now complete several annual deliverables including a CPC Plan, administrative budget, public hearing, warrant article recommendations, and trust fund budget expenditures.
