Select Board elects Phelan Chair; approves department head contracts

SWAMPSCOTT — Select Board unanimously elected Katie Phelan Chair and Danielle Leonard Vice Chair on May 6, 2026. The Board then approved updated employment contracts for Finance Director Patrick Luddy, Treasurer/Collector Liam Braley, Town Clerk Katie Dupont, Director of Community and Economic Development Marzie Galazka, and Director of Public Works Gino Cresta in a 4-to-1 vote, with Wayne Spritz abstaining due to lack of prior involvement in negotiations. The Board also unanimously approved a Consent Agenda of routine items and deferred action on parking restrictions at Cedar Hill, the Environmentally Preferred Procurement Policy, and the proposed North Shore IT Collaborative pending additional information and departmental input.
