SWAMPSCOTT — Select Board continues Amrize quarry permit hearing to June 17 over air quality concerns. The board held a joint public hearing with the Earth Removal Advisory Committee on the annual earth removal permit; residents and Board of Health members raised concerns about the adequacy of air quality monitoring methods, particularly for PM10 and silica particulates. The board also unanimously approved a common victualler license for John Nicastro at the Swampscott Center for Performing Arts, allowing food service with seating from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. seven days weekly.
An all-alcohol liquor license application for the venue was continued to June 8 for additional community input.
