Select Board · Meeting of February 11, 2026

SWAMPSCOTT — Select Board ratifies three-year police contract with graduated raises through 2028. The board voted unanimously to confirm the tentative agreement previously discussed in executive session, approving wage increases of 3 percent in FY26, 2 percent in FY27, and 3 percent in FY28, plus a 2 percent POST stipend and enhanced education incentives. Board members emphasized retention priorities and arbitration risks.

In separate votes, the board also approved a Richdale liquor amendment to All Alcohol status in a 3-2 split, and unanimously cleared Pomona's 2,760-square-foot premise expansion under its existing Wine & Malt license, with the applicant confirming no upgrade to full alcohol service. The board appointed Liam Braley, formerly Budget Director in Cary, North Carolina, as new Treasurer-Collector, effective March 2026.
