Select Board appoints new Finance Director and Town Clerk

Swampscott Select Board unanimously appoints new Finance Director and Town Clerk. The board voted 4-0 to elevate Patrick Luddy, the Treasurer and Collector, to Director of Finance and approved Kathleen DuPont as Town Clerk. The meeting also authorized Town Administrator Nicholas Connors to issue a Request for Qualifications and cost proposal to solicit applications for a new town counsel.
The board tabled a liquor license transfer hearing for RichDale until February 4 and unanimously adopted special municipal employee designation language under H.3917 for recreational land tax treatment affecting nine boards and committees.
