Planning Board · Meeting of May 11, 2026
SWAMPSCOTT — Planning Board restructures leadership and advances green infrastructure zoning effort. The Board elected Joseph Sheridan as Chair and Angela Ippolito as Vice Chair. In Site Plan Special Permit decisions, the Board unanimously approved Sheryl Birenbaum's 828 square foot Accessory Dwelling Unit addition at 3 Robin Lane and Jeff Tucker's roof ridge raise and attic expansion at 11 Eulow Street, conditioned upon Zoning Board of Appeals and Historical Commission review; Petition 25-21 for 80 Puritan Road was continued to June 8, 2026, pending submission of corrected floor plans resolving habitable area calculation discrepancies.
The Board reviewed proposed zoning bylaw amendments prepared by Kleinfelder and the Department of Public Works to reduce impervious surface area and promote green infrastructure practices in support of the Town's MS4 permit compliance obligations, expressing general support but requesting stronger implementation language before formal advancement.
