SWAMPSCOTT — Open Space Committee approves new member and endorses multiple initiatives. The Open Space and Recreation Plan Committee voted unanimously to add Victoria Kelleher as a member and approved an updated maintenance plan for Harold King Forest. Chair Tania Lillak led the committee in endorsing a winter salt management letter to the town and a joint letter with other open space committees regarding potential acquisition of the Hawthorne property.

PARC funding has secured safety surfacing replacement at Clark and Abbott Playground, with work to begin after July 1, 2026, while a LAND application to rehabilitate the basketball court at Philips Park, including new lighting, benches, and fencing, remains under review.
