Historical Commission · Meeting of February 5, 2026
SWAMPSCOTT — Historical Commission votes against preserving the structure at 80 Puritan Road. The Commission rejected a motion by Brad Graham to designate the structure as preferably preserved, with only Justina Oliver voting in favor and six members voting against. Property owner Scott Miller presented architectural details during the public hearing, including discussion of the building's dormer and roof construction, which Richard Smith assessed as dating to approximately 1928.
The 6-1 vote clears the path for demolition.
