SWAMPSCOTT — Earth Removal Committee reviews Amrize permit application for 2026-27. Joe Markarian, Chair, oversaw discussion of Amrize's proposal to merge and relocate benches closer to Swampscott Road during the permit year, with proposed 80-foot blasts limited to a maximum of 10 during fall months. Committee member Tonia Bandrowicz committed to submitting formal comments to town staff.
The committee approved prior meeting minutes unanimously and scheduled additional review meetings for May 6 and May 27, with a joint Select Board presentation scheduled for June 3, 2026 to present formal comments on the permit application.
