Swampscott Council on Aging approves staffing changes, adds transportation. The board unanimously approved prior-meeting minutes and directed the hiring of an Outreach Coordinator rather than an Assistant Director, with Jeanne Patz hired as Program and Volunteer Manager and Shannon Morrissey as the new receptionist. Director Sabrina Clopton reported serving 109 meals since the last meeting, with 35 seniors signed up for the meeting-day lunch; the board discussed potential expansion to three dining days per week.

The board reviewed the Swampscott For All Ages Community Life Feasibility Study, which collected 664 survey responses with 80 percent positive, identifying space and parking as priority issues. Friday transportation service has been added to accommodate increased demand for rides, with vans running five days per week.
