Climate Committee Approves Hawthorne Property Letter to Select Board

SWAMPSCOTT — Climate committee approves Hawthorne response to Select Board. The Climate Action and Resilience Committee voted unanimously to approve a multi-committee letter to the Select Board on the Hawthorne property, to carry CARC signatures after finalization with an Executive Summary. The committee welcomed new member Theodora Dimov.
It continues developing a sustainability rubric for Planning Board review, expected to be finalized by May 5. The MassEnergize website is operational. The committee is not applying for MVP and CZM grants this year but submitted a Climate Smart Initiative application for Johnson Park and a letter of intent to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation for a comprehensive nature-based resilience study.
